About the Stylist
Since the age of 12, Angelique Vailes always knew she desired to become a hairstylist. Her mother wanted her to work a regular government job because of the ups and downs of the beauty industry. Angelique worked a government job, but when enough was enough she followed her heart by enrolling into beauty school. During beauty school she knew that she would one day be an owner of her own salon and become an instructor.
After beauty school hair became second nature to Angelique, but she knew there was more to just standing behind a chair and decided to explore another avenue in the industry. She became an instructor for the “Look Good Feel Good” program with the American Cancer Society. While teaching this Program Angelique realized that the women going through the program wanted to look like themselves and not what they were going through. This is when she discovered the making of wigs and the world of hair replacement that she became truly excited about her future. Her passion quickly became helping others look and feel their best. Angelique also took it a step further when several women she serviced in class and behind the chair stated that their hair was thinning and stopped growing. She started seeing an alarming pattern and decided to dig deeper into why women and men are losing hair at such an alarming speed young and older. This is when she enrolled into the United States Trichology Institute. After completion, is when she began her journey as a Board Certified Trichologist giving women and men hope that was once lost by growing their hair back strand by strand.
